FEE SCHEDULE
Consultation
Please contact CCC by phone or e-mail for a free initial consultation. The standard consultation rate is $150/hr. Please inquire for nonprofit and academic pricing.
Research & Development
Please contact CCC by phone or e-mail for a free initial consultation. The standard R&D rate is $150/hr. plus actual material costs (no mark-up). CCC will provide a free estimate for your project upon request. For R&D projects requiring more than five billable hours, there is no consultation fee for routine correspondence.
Cosmetic and Toiletry Formulations
CCC will provide you with a published, commerical cosmetic/toiletry formulation from a database containing thousands of formulas, including shampoos, conditioners, lotions, shaving creams, deodorants, toothpastes, soaps, etc. The price per formula is $200 and satisfaction is guaranteed.
Analytical Services
Analytical services pricing is determined by summing the CCC consultation fee (see above) and, if applicable,third-party laboratory analysis fees. CCC will provide a free estimate for your project upon request. Unforseeable difficulties in sample preparation and/or analyses may cause the actual cost to deviate from this estimate. Reverse engineering projects are particularly susceptible to deviations from the initial estimate, as information from one analytical technique is often used to determine which subsequent analyses are necessary. In some cases, complete reverse engineering is not possible, and as a result, can never be guaranteed. All third-party laboratory analysis fees must be paid in advance.
Patenting (provisional or full patent)
Typical fees for writing a provisional patent and filing it with the US Patent and Trademark Office range from $550-$1000 (USPTO fees already included). Typical fees for researching prior art, writing a full patent, and filing it on a provisional basis with the US Patent and Trademark Office range from $2500-$5000 (USPTO fees already included). Following execution of a non-disclosure agreement, which is available upon request, CCC will provide a quote based on the complexity of the invention, the number of claims required, and other factors.
